Look who’s on the cover of The New Yorker this week. Happy 100th birthday, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building! Come celebrate the milestone with us this weekend at our Centennial Festival on May 21 and May 22 at the landmark building on 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. We have a slew of free events lined up for kids and adults, some including celebs like Gabriel Byrne and Annette Gordon-Reed. Plus free ice cream - it’s a win-win situation. Some events require tickets, so check out the schedule and make your plans! Hope to see you there!

Happy Birthday NYPL! We can personally attest to the greatness of the exhibit that is going up in honor of your 100 years. Our favorite items:
—Charles Dickens cat’s paw letter opener
—Keats letter to Fanny (sigh)
—Virginia Woolf’s walking stick
—Malcolm X’s Mecca diaries.
An unbelievable collection of material.
