It was magical.
I remember reading the book in the eight grade and being furious with it. I didn’t understand why Nick Caraway would want to be around people like that. This movie though, watching it unfold the way it did, showed the depths of these characters that I didn’t understand back then. There were tears in my eyes by the end.
People, this movie captured the book perfectly. And Leo does not disappoint.
